August Update—Daggerheart! Plus, iterative improvements
Greetings vesties, this month we've been in the TTRPG test kitchen brewing up some experiments. First and foremost, we're piloting a new version of Light Below Blufftop that uses the shiny new Daggerheart ruleset. We're really excited to keep learning this system, play testing it, and seeing how it all works in the Eolay setting. If all goes well, expect more Daggerheart versions of our other content—along side updated 5E versions—coming soon.
In addition, we've been hard at work on improving all three of our early access adventure modules ahead of their official 1.0 release versions and a potential printed anthology. Some highlights include:
- Updated the art of Blufftop village to a full-color, full-page illustration (these take a lonnng time to draw and color, so thanks for the patience!).
- Added new NPC cards to Isle of Redsky for each of the crew members of the Tickled Pink
- Reworked some narrative elements in Isle of Redsky for heightened drama
- Tweaked encounter balances based on playtest results
- Various typo, stylistic, and design consistency fixes across all three modules
- Updated some art assets for improved quality
- Adding new "D&D Beyond friendly" versions of the maps in the map packs. These will all come in under the 10MB limit, and include token circle guides in the corners to make it easy to precisely dial in the scale.
We'd love to hear your feedback as always. Go ahead and pop in to our Discord and say "ahoy" if you haven't yet!
